Edward Jenny

Bio - sort of :-)

Edward Jenny

From the artist:

"Guitar player who enjoys rock, blues, jazz, new age, Intl Latin, classical, meditation, soundtrack, and world music. Thousands of club, studio, and tour hours have been enjoyed ... mostly live in my computer world now - hope you enjoy what you hear."

Here is a little bit of original music created around life and jobs that have helped support my oldest 'professions' of art and music.

Edward has been performing in public since age 6, church and community bands and orchestras until setting out on the road in late 1963. Early shows were as a member of several opening bands for Bobby Freeman, Shirley Ellis, Young Rascals, barbed wire bar circuit, then Byrds, Doors, Dead, Cream, just about every one but the Beatles in the sixties, and early seventies.

Several stints with labels, producers, agents and lawyers like early Sire records, MGM, Chess/Cadet, Metro Media, and others.

Played on lots of publisher demos, most recording done at Arc Music/Universal in Chicago and United Western in LA.

Had many incredible jams with some of the best in blues and rock players as well as some good offers that I should have taken in spite of my fears :-)

Some of my best times were spent touring and living large with Allman Joys through Allman Bros. Cream, Delaney and Bonnie, the Dead, and hangin out with Crazy Horse, Tommy Bolen, David and Candy Givens in Denver, and soo many other good folks who just enjoyed fun times in playing music while trying to avoid suits and narks ... especially at SIR and other rehearsal spaces in LA and Sausalito.

A few years were lost after a DOA incident in car, but the body and mind mostly healed up and I have continued to play and appreciate my life for the most part, while living and working in California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington, mostly in graphics and software industry, with music on the side. Although through the years I have been asked by some groups to come out and play on tours I am still waiting to retire from raising family before I return to being an old black bluesman

Mellow with Style, April 7, 2004
Reviewer: Kyla M. Jones from Columbus, OH United States I listen to a good amount of classical, new age, jazz and other similar music types; frankly, many serve mostly to make me drowsy. Not Mr. Jenny's music. His light but firm touch on the strings makes every note stand out, keeping the listener awake and listening for the next one. The music is smooth as melted chocolate and just as sweet. Highly recommended!

Beatty from England to Anderson and Oblitz from Prussia to Jenny

Then Jenny from Bern, Switzerland[700AD-present] via Lieden, Holland[1200AD-1580AD]; to Knotishall, England[1000AD-1780AD]; then to Plymouth Rock, Mass in 1623 and Jamestown, Virginia in 1604; then to Helvetia Township, Illinois[1835-present]

is brief of Edwards line:

and there is this Austrian-Russian girl named Sabra, then children and pets, mortgages, and a little thing called

'global village fever' that has poisoned the American dream for honest, hardworking, nice people the whole world over... because of a few greedy little bastards who think they are entitled and unseen, hence the bluesmans coat of many colours and need to find the guy in this photo once again.
